Club Choiseul Africa | Impact Investments in Africa

On Monday, June 3, 2024 at 6:30 pm, the Choiseul Africa community and many partners gathered in the premises of ODDO BHF in Paris, on the occasion of the launch of the last Choiseul Africa Club. The meeting marked a key moment for discussions on sustainable investment in Africa, bringing together leading decision-makers to explore the opportunities and challenges involved.

African economies are experiencing some of the highest growth rates in the world, and the continent’s young population, which will account for more than 50% of the population by 2050, symbolizes significant development potential. However, the global funding gap, exacerbated by external geopolitical factors, underscores a growing urgency for sustainable investment. These investments are vital not only to support job creation and inclusive growth, but also to provide attractive returns for investors.

The event provided a platform to discuss the potential of sustainable investments on the African continent, with a particular focus on stimulating sectors that promote a better balance between economic, social and environmental dimensions.
